Also, for outdoor use folding mobility scooters are ideal to take with you in a car. They are very easy to fold away in a trunk. However, they aren’t practical for rugged terrain. All the benefits of folding mobile scooters (including, lightweight, foldable and compact) turn into the disadvantages when it comes to driving it on rugged terrain or for long distance. 

This means that you need to think carefully about how you are going to use your mobility scooter and select accordingly. A traditional mobile scooter can’t be folded but will have larger batteries, more power and are able to withstand rugged terrain and weather.
